Office of the General Manager
Our mission is to “enhance the quality of life for all Tribal Members through Community and Economic Development”.
The Office the General Manager, under the direction of the Tribal Council, directs and administers overall financial and business functions of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. With a strong management team, the GM directs the planning, implementation, and assessment of Economic Development projects for financial impacts to the overall operations of the Tribe. The GM’s Office is responsible for all planning by establishing short- and long-term strategies, goals, and objectives and working closely with other tribal departments to develop, integrate, and coordinate actions.
The GM’s office establishes policies and procedures to forecast tribal revenues. It develops or modifies existing programs, services, and enterprises to improve the welfare of members by seeking to maximize both potential revenue and employment opportunities.
Special Projects Managers handle larger project that deal with the Tribe’s natural resources and tribal operations, such as district economic development corporations. The Land Use/Energy Planner, also part of this department, supervises land leases and master plans, in addition to overseeing environmental issues and assisting other planners with Land and Energy expertise.
