Tell us about possible terrorist activity
To report potential terrorist activity in the US, citizens should contact local law enforcement or the FBI Field Office, and in emergencies, call 911. The “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign encourages reporting suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
Reporting Suspicious Activity:
- Local Law Enforcement: For immediate threats or emergencies, call 911.
- FBI Field Offices: Contact your local FBI field office or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
- Fusion Centers: Report to your local Fusion Center, which shares information with law enforcement agencies.
How to tell us about something you've seen or heard
An existing case or report
To update an existing police report in the US, you’ll generally need to contact the specific law enforcement agency that handled the initial report. You can often do this online, by phone, or in person, depending on the agency and the nature of the update. If it’s an emergency, always dial 911. For non-emergencies, you can usually find contact information and reporting options on the agency’s website.
