Dr. John Bush was elected to the San Carlos Tribal Council in November of 2008 for Peridot District Council, and in November of 2010 for Vice- Chairman, and again in November of 2018 to current for Peridot District Council. Prior to being elected, Dr. Bush was retired from the Superintendent position of the San Carlos Unified School District. He had served 35 years with the Arizona Public School System in many different professions, including a Program Manager, Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent. He has received both his Masters’ Degree and a Doctorate in Education Administration from Northern Arizona University.
Dr. Bush’s focus for the Peridot District is to expand economic growth by diversifying businesses development and job creation. In addition, Dr. Bush would like to develop a new Headquarters for Recreation and Wildlife and broaden the farming operations.
