Seven Mile Wash District
Seven Mile Wash District is the smallest District by population size yet most of the Tribe’s department offices, schools, and health care facilities are located within the District, in addition to the post office, a convenience store, an airport facility, and the B.I.A. Forestry Service. In addition to the Tribe, public employers include Health Services, Cattle Association, and the San Carlos School District. Seven Mile Wash District maintains several baseball fields, basketball courts (indoor and outdoor), and parks containing playground equipment.
Talkalai Lake and Senaca Lake, which cover about 5,500 acres, are included in this District. Another nearly 400 acres surround these lakes. The name derives from the Seven Mile Wash on the northern boundary of the reservation.
